Siamo nel marzo 1849 e mentre l’esercito sabaudo. sconfitto dagli austriaci. si rifugia a Novara. il Generale Alessandro La Marmora si trova a dover affrontare una nuova fantastica avventura che lo porterà fuori dal campo di battaglia per contrastare l’oscurità e nuove minacce soprannaturali.
In questa storia, riassunta in un romanzo breve dalla bravissima Marina Belli, il Generale La Marmora viene affiancato da un misterioso personaggio, Biscior, che fra conoscenze soprannaturali, misteriose alchimie e incredibili pozioni. guiderà un sempre più incredulo La Marmora in una lotta senza quartiere contro i lazzari, i Loup Garou fino allo scontro epico con una Dea, la diva Silica, che verrà sconfitta ad un prezzo altissimo.
Vento di Cambiamento è ambientato quasi tutto nel novarese, dove vive l’autrice, Marina Belli, che ha utilizzato la Battaglia di Novara come spunto per una storia horror/fantasy ambientata nel Risorgimento italiano. Il romanzo scorre velocissimo e ci si trova in breve tempo di fronte ad un finale che sembra quasi il prologo di nuove storie di più ampio respiro.
Menzione particolare per la scena dell’apparizione della diva Silica, che lascia davvero senza fiato.
